 | Chainfood is a private SME that developes innovative internet solutions for chain information management in the agro and food business. Main tasks include exchanging data from chain partners and integrating the data in joint databases for the purpose of traceability, quality management, supply chain management and business intelligence. The Chainfood solutions are offered to agro and food companies on the basis of a fee per unit or time, without the need to invest in ICT-infrastructure. Chainfood started its business activities in 2002. In the past couple of years a lot of effort has been put forth to the developement of the advanced ICT-infrastructure. Chainfood operates in various research programmes under FP 5, FP 6 and the EU Interreg Programme in pork, grain, vegetables and fruit chains and cold chain management. |
