| | Chainfood is a private SME that developes innovative internet solutions for chain information management in the agro and food business. Main tasks include exchanging data from chain partners and integrating the data in joint databases for the purpose of traceability, quality management, supply chain management and business intelligence. The Chainfood solutions are offered to agro and food companies on the basis of a fee per unit or time, without the need to invest in ICT-infrastructure. Chainfood started its business activities in 2002. In the past couple of years a lot of effort has been put forth to the developement of the advanced ICT-infrastructure. Chainfood operates in various research programmes under FP 5, FP 6 and the EU Interreg Programme in pork, grain, vegetables and fruit chains and cold chain management. |

Verdict Systems BV focuses on improving the Cold Chain of temperature sensitive products through the supply chain. The company offers various product lines and technologies to monitor worldwide parameters like temperature, humidity, CO2 etc. Through internet this information will be presented on your computer to monitor the Cold Supply Chain and store these results. As all data are stored in a database, all shipment results can be presented easily. Over time results even can be compared to analyse chain partners. These data are also used in disease models, shelf life programs etc. to create automated advises rather than unsafe meat, tainted fish or cooked flowers. A safe and healthy product often starts on a farm, in a laboratory or in a factory. Therefore, their products and services also include wireless equipment, weather stations and GPS mobile data collectors to be able to analyse every aspect of the Supply Chain. In this way, the user is able to monitor production sites, storage locations, trucks etc. |

![]() | ACC has more than 11 years of experience with facilitation of coinnovation programs on supply chain development in several agricultural sub sectors. ACC in close collaboration with private companies, government and knowledge institutes have developed an array of chain analysis and development tools. Additionally ACC has an extensive network of private and public partners. Recently ACC has completed a national program on added value in the pork chain. Based on 26 pilot projects researchers and entrepreneurs jointly worked on chain-reversal issues and improved demand-driven production in the pork chain. |

Role in Q-PorkChains
VION will coordinate a pilot chain and use its food and pork infrastructure that comprises a direct access to its food producing plants, retail outlets, farms that produce swine, slaughterhouses and meat processing plants.
Role in Q-PorkChains
ACC will support GIQS to coordinate the pilot and demonstration activities and to motivate the industry for this. Furthermore ACC supports the communication with the industry and SMEs for the set up of pilot and demonstration chains, as well as training and dissemination of results to SMEs in the Dutch pork sector.
